Not being able to dps the opponents down quickly makes control and healing tools more important and requires you to use statuses? Lower difficulties for me were just dps races early and not use any of these tools cause i could kill them before they became problematic, but now i need to use a larger variety of skills else bosses that i can't dps down will just kill me before i get them down No, in most fights the enemies will scale their attack damage with the +attack buffs that cant be removed, like the Tortured Soul who increases his damage every time you hit him, so its a matter whether you can burst him or he will burst you eventually. Your disagreement is against this whole forum being full of people declaring the game broken after getting bloodied by the first book. I do have alot of expiereince with Rogue-Likes so that may be the difference. Starting party for book 1 gave me enough XP to unlock Lilith and the White Lady, I used both of them with Mary for book 2. Vampiric Dominance, Warhorn, etc.Ĭompletely disagree- I did the first two books back to back no loss. Depression and Zombie can win you fights that seemed unwinnable.Ībility to remove debuffs from yourself is equally as important.įind a way to scale damage throughout the fight. Make a priority of replacing them, go for the altars.ĭebuffs are super important. His problem is that all three of his starting skills are trash. In your lair, go to the portraits and take a look at skills of your roster - find those synergies, plan a strategy and, when on the map, look for those skills.ĭracula is a deceptively strong character. Skill synergy is bonkers important, even the (broken OP) characters that are unlocked later (Lilith, Samedi) can't do everything by themselves. This way, you will be getting some levels and unlocks by essentially grinding the first map (even if not intentionally). ![]() Originally posted by UR|Dialetheia:The first book is practically purpose made to make a new player lose a couple (dozen) times before allowing you to proceed. ![]()
